PM cannot be blackmailed on condition of arrival for burial: Imran Khan
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said on the incident that we have accepted all the demands of the Hazara community but no Prime Minister is blackmailed in such a way that if you come, we will bury him.
Addressing the launching ceremony of the Special Economic Zones Authority in Islamabad, the Prime Minister said that perhaps the greatest atrocities were committed against the people of the Hazara community, especially in the last 20 years, since September 11, 2001. Cruelty and killing of their people did not happen to any other community.
"I went there when there were big tragedies and I saw their fear, when it happened in Machh where 11 Hazara workers were brutally killed," he said. Part of which, I told the Cabinet last March and made public statements that India is trying to spread chaos in Pakistan as a whole and is a place where India's plan is to spread sectarian strife and Shia, Sunni clerics.
However, he said that he paid tribute to the country's intelligence agency that the four major terrorist incidents were not due to our agencies but a high profile Sunni cleric was killed in Karachi. We put out the fire on which sectarian divisions were about to take place.
Further, he said, "We already knew what had happened in Machh. After this incident, I first sent the Home Minister, who spoke, and then sent two federal ministers there." To show that this government stands with them.
"Those who worked in their homes were killed. I assured them that we would take full care of them. We complied with all their demands, but they did not." It is demanded that if the Prime Minister comes, we will bury the bodies but I have conveyed the message to him that when all your demands have been met, it is not appropriate to demand that we will not bury until the Prime Minister comes.
Imran Khan said that the Prime Minister of any country is not blackmailed like this, otherwise everyone will be blackmailed, first of all the gang of robbers will say that forgive all our corruption cases, otherwise we will overthrow the government, this Blackmail has been going on for two and a half years.
"I have said that as soon as we bury, I will meet the family. I am saying again today that if you bury today, I will go to Quetta today and meet the family, so it should be clear that All your demands have been met but it is not appropriate to bet that the funeral will take place if the Prime Minister comes.
Speaking on another topic, he said that there is a revolution in IT all over the world, which is progressing fast while there were also IT companies developing during Covid-19.
He said that we should have given such concessions to our IT sector long ago, trying to remove all the obstacles that were there earlier so that our IT sector would not only move forward but also create employment opportunities for the youth.
"We want IT exports to be such that foreign exchange increases. We can save the country's currency from our IT exports," he said.
Machh incident
It should be noted that on January 3, 11 miners were brutally killed by gunmen at gunpoint in Machh area of Bolan district of Balochistan.
Information about the incident revealed that the gunmen blindfolded the 11 Shia Hazara coal miners, handcuffed them and then killed them.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
Following the incident, various political figures, including Prime Minister Imran Khan, had condemned the incident, while Imran Khan had ordered the FC to bring those involved in the incident to justice.
However, in the immediate aftermath of the incident, members of the Haraza community began protesting by placing the bodies of their loved ones on the western bypass of the provincial capital Quetta, which is still ongoing, with protesters demanding that the prime minister not return. We will not bury our loved ones.
